We’re committed to taking care of your family and ensuring you have the equipment you need to do whatever type of diving you want to do, but we’re not a retail store looking to make money on equipment sales. Meet Our Team
Laura

Laura is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and the lead instructor for Anchored Scuba. She has been training student divers since 2006. Laura enjoys diving in many different environments, such as shipwrecks and caves, and she is certified to dive Trimix (deep decompression). Laura’s passion is to educate and add value to people through everything she does! As a former Public Safety Diver, she goes above and beyond to ensure her students are well-prepared, confident, safety-conscious divers who have been equipped for the underwater environment physically, mentally, and emotionally. Laura has a genuine love for kids and excels at teaching them by breaking complex concepts and tasks down into kid-friendly, easy-to-understand principles and steps. She’ll teach you and your kids about safe diving practices while ensuring everyone has a great time in a family-friendly environment.
Robbie

Robbie works for Delta Airlines and has been a mechanic for over 30 years. He has been a certified scuba diver since 2012. As our Gear Guru, Robbie maintains all of our equipment and is our go-to resource anytime we want to improve something. He enjoys watching other divers and providing support to everyone during our trips! Robbie helps ensure everyone has a good time and encourages new divers to be comfortable in open water environments!
Casey

Casey has been diving with her family since 2013, and one of her favorite places to go is the Florida Springs. She is also looking forward to doing some Atlantic wreck diving off the coast of Morehead City, NC. As Anchored Scuba’s Social Media Manager, Casey keeps us connected with our customers in the digital world. She looks forward to connecting with kids and teens who are interested in scuba diving and encouraging them to explore the beautiful underwater secrets the world has to offer!
Ben

Ben has been diving since 2013, and he loves to dive anywhere the water is warm. He serves as Anchored Scuba’s underwater photographer and unofficial equipment Sherpa. Ben assists Robbie with equipment and is a walking encyclopedia for random facts about the ocean environment. He enjoys diving and is eager to start spearfishing, but, with only about 5% body fat, he turns into a popsicle pretty quickly anytime the water is below 85o!
“Having Casey to assist [Laura] in class was a real asset because she was just as knowledgeable! I was constantly amazed at her maturity and the concepts she was reinforcing. She was a lot of fun! What would we have done without Robbie?! He was so helpful in making sure everyone had what they needed during dive set up, being there to solve problems when they arose, and provide helpful tips.”
