If you’ve never been scuba diving or if you’ve been scuba diving before but you’re not yet certified, then our Open Water Scuba Diver certification class is for you. Our PADI Open Water Scuba Diver class will teach you and your family the foundational scuba diving knowledge and skills needed to dive independently and safely as a family.*

Anchored Scuba offers complete family experiences that include your scuba instruction—all in an affordably-priced family package! Unlike most dive shops, we don’t charge separately for confined water training and open water dives in your basic Open Water Scuba Diver class. With all of the classes we offer, we partner with you to ensure the dive packages we put together meet your family’s wants and needs.
You have one family and a limited number of hours in the day—Let us make it easy for you by offering you and your family a complete package in one!
Anchored Scuba offers small, private classes—just for you and your family!
Technically, one scuba instructor can teach up to 10 students at a time in the swimming pool portion of an Open Water Scuba Diver class, and with a certified assistant, they can have up to 14! Many dive shops will allow numbers such as these in a class, because it’s more cost-effective. We don’t!
At Anchored Scuba, we believe your family will learn best in a smaller, single-family-sized class. You won’t have to worry whether someone else will be added to your family’s class. And if someone in your family needs extra attention on a particular skill, you won’t have to worry about other customers also needing your instructor’s time or attention. Our time and attention is devoted exclusively to you and your family!
Anchored Scuba fits your family’s schedule!
Most dive shops offer classes that meet according to a set schedule that usually includes evenings and weekends. We don’t do that. With Anchored Scuba, your family’s class schedule isn’t predetermined. We work with you to set up training times that work for your family and ours. We go out of our way and do our best to ensure we can train your family at times that are as convenient for you as possible.

Anchored Scuba is not a retail store and we’re not looking to make money on equipment sales. But we are here to take care of you and ensure you have the equipment you need to do whatever type of diving you want to do. We only sell equipment we believe in and use ourselves!
As a faith-based business, we also believe in the principle of good stewardship—which means we don’t want to waste our money and we won’t waste yours either! We strive to keep our costs down, so we can do the same for you.
